Health & Safety Training for Students

Do your students understand the responsibility they have to protect THEMSELVES AND others from harm in the workplace?

Health and Safety Training for Schools delves deeper into the specific environments and situations that might present themselves in any workplace. The Health & Safety at Work Act 2015 (HSWA) came into force in April 2016. Increasingly, schools are finding students transitioning into the workplace are required to have an understanding of the HSWA and the role and responsibilities they, as a potential employee, take into the workplace.  To protect themselves and their business many employers are now asking schools what knowledge of HSWA do the students have that are seeking workplace work experience.

Life Care Consultants have identified and deliver on, six NZQA Workplace Health and Safety Unit standards that will enable your students to go confidently into any work experience workplace. Having this knowledge will reassure the businesses that your school community works with that the student and their business is safe.
