Mental Health First Aid Training

In New Zealand each year 1 in 5 adults will experience a mental health event.

Yet for many people awareness of the problem of mental health issues is extremely low. Mental health issues is a growing problem in the workplace so it is increasingly important that staff are aware of and able to identify when one of their colleagues is struggling or beginning to show the signs of mental illness such as depression, anxiety and stress. Mental Health First Aid enables your staff to recognise the signs and make a first response to help their co-workers.

Good workplace mental health awareness, wellbeing and mindfulness is associated with improved team engagement, reduced absenteeism, increased productivity, workplace harmony, improved morale and greater job satisfaction.

Life Care Consultants Mental Health First Aid Course provides participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to identify early stage mental health issues such as the onset of depression, anxiety, stress or substance misuse. They will learn strategies to help deal with that person and to help maintain and improve mental health in the workplace.
