RESILIENCE & STRESS MANAGEMENT IN TIMES OF UNCERTAINTY

EMPLOYEE’S WORKING REMOTELY, OFTEN REPORT INCREASING LEVELS OF ANXIETY, STRESS AND ISOLATION.

Feeling isolated from peers can have a negative impact on a staff member’s overall wellbeing and mental health. But, the good news is that there are key skills and practical strategies we can learn to implement which make a real difference to help us flourish – even during a global pandemic.

There is no doubt that Covid-19 is causing a significant amount of disruption and uncertainty. Almost overnight, most New Zealander’s have had to change how they work, interact and do life in general. These quickly implemented and challenging changes, have left many people feeling afraid and anxious about what the future holds, resulting in increased stress levels. For many, these reactions are so strong that they overwhelm someone’s capability to function as normal, impacting not only their physical but their mental health too.

Resilience is the ability to respond positively to adversity, to recover and then move forward. Thankfully, this is a skill we can grow and develop. This one hour seminar is designed to help do just that – to increase levels of personal resilience for those in the workplace and provide some practical tools to help mitigate the threat/stress response. During this interactive online workshop, the strategies are both explained and practised.
