Online Refresher/ First Responder First Aid Training

Staff working remotely? Get the same quality training with our new First Aid online learning course.

This online first aid course is a great option for anyone and even more so during the Covid-19 restrictions. The remote learning options reduces the amount of contact your team has with others and reduces time away from work.

For people new to first aid and working in a low hazard environment or needing to revalidate an Advanced Workbased First Aid Certificate, this is the course to start with. Everyday in every workplace the potential exists for a first aid event to occur. When it does, time is of the essence and ensuring your staff know how to act and what to do could save someone’s life.

Online Refresher/First Responder First Aid Training is made up of three components:

Part 1: Webinar & Online Learning Modules, Part 2: Practical Assessment

Attendees login to a 1.5 hour live webinar training session and then (in their own time) complete 15 online learning modules. To finish their training, each participant attends a 2 hour practical assessment (must be completed within six weeks of completing the online learning modules), in a group of ten people max.

Even if your staff completed their original training somewhere else, we can provide your refresher for you. This course can also be run as part of an Advanced Workbased First Aid Course, making it ideal for workplaces that have staff needing the full training mixed with those that only need refreshing or work in a low hazard workplace.

Ensuring your staff are trained in First Aid is critical to making sure they are aware of what they can do help should they be the person closest to someone requiring first aid assistance – book today!

Training To Save Lives

Our Online Refresher / First Responder First Aid Training is an essential life skill and a valuable asset for any staff member within your workplace. Half of the training is able to be completed remotely ensuring the safety of your staff and our trainers during these uncertain times.

Training content is two-fold: two online learning components (webinar and online learning modules) and a practical assessment (must be completed within six weeks of completing the online components).

Refresher / First Responder First Aid Training covers NZQA unit standards 6401 and 6402 covering “Recognition of and Provision of First Aid”. Training can be tailored for your company and your industry and the course covers all the basic skills required in an emergency First Aid Situation likely to be encountered in a low hazard workplace such as a call centre, office or retail centre.

Remote Learning & Reduced Contact

The online training option of this course reduces your staff’s contact with others and time away from work.

Every learner must attend a two hour practical assessment within six weeks from completion of the webinar and online modules. These sessions are limited to a maximum of 10 participants and will be scheduled at our regional training centres in: Hamilton, Auckland, Mt Maunganui, Napier, New Plymouth, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin. For those who are outside these areas (and unable to travel), onsite practical assessments may be possible where there are sufficient numbers.

Please note that each participant will need two separate bookings made: one for the online course, and one for the practical assessment.
