Janet Brothers is our Managing Director and the founder of the company. Janet comes from a nursing background with vast experience in emergency care. Her vision came when she saw the need for efficient, up to date and user friendly First Aid Training. It was time for a new era in Health Training in the public sector. Her aim has been to provide client focused service to industries where the need has been greatest. Janet has always enjoyed sport and activity, and as such walks the talk by looking after her own fitness and health, and is passionate about our good health being our biggest asset.
Jim Sandford is Training and Development Manager and is responsible for looking after our great team of trainers. Bringing the experiences of a lifelong involvement in health education and educational management, Jim has a passion for seeing others reach their full potential. With an approach based on a mix of experiential and reflective learning, Jim ensures that our trainers are continually developing themselves to ensure the training offered here at Life Care Consultants is informative, fun and second to none!
Richelle Rowe is the Sales Manager for Life Care Consultants, and has spent the past 20 years in various key account manager roles in the service industry, including health, IT and telecommunications.
Richelle is responsible for all facets of marketing for Life Care Consultants, New Zealand wide; including maintaining relationships with existing clients, growth into new markets, as well as growing a team of sales staff. With a “can do" attitude and a real passion for health and well being, Richelle builds strong long-term and loyal partnerships with her clients.
Debbie Antoniadis leads the administration team, making use of her management skills gained from many years working as both Practice Manager in a busy legal firm, and other management positions throughout her career. Debbie lives by our core values every day, and ensures her team are also fully aware that: Attitude is Everything - Positive, Fun and Passionate. Debbie sets high standards which constantly inspire the administration team.
Our operational staff:
Graham Milne comes from an education background. He has been a senior First Aid Trainer within New Zealand for a significant period. Graham and his family have recently moved to the Waikato from Gisborne.
Joyce Taylor hails from Scotland and has been in NZ and with Life Care for nearly two years. Having worked in adult education for the past 10 years, she is a hugely popular trainer, well known for her enthusiastic style. Training is her passion and she gets a great deal of job satisfaction by passing on knowledge to others.
Michelle Ranstead is based in Hamilton and is a Registered Nurse with a background in mental health, practice nursing and an extensive paediatric medical background. She holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Child Health and has recently joined Life Care Consultants Ltd to work in more of an educational role in healthcare and health promotion.
Kim Timms and John Bilsborrow complete our Hamilton contingent. They both bring great knowledge and enthusiasm to our health assessments and training. John joins us with an educational background, enhancing the team’s knowledge and skills for facilitating adult learners. John also brings experience as a volunteer ambulance officer. Kim comes from a nursing background and a long career in the airline industry.
Wayne Upson has joined us from bonny Scotland. Wayne is based in Rotorua and has youth, enthusiasm and knowledge, which he brings to work every day. Wayne is a Registered Nurse and has come from a background in medical nursing.
Eileen Wallbank comes from an extensive background in paediatric intensive care nursing. Eileen has completed her educational certificate in Adult Training. Based in Taupo, she has the ability to work with bushmen in the forest in the morning, and work with Play Centre Mum's in the afternoon with gusto and empathy.
Angela Lumsden is based in the Bay of Plenty, and is one of Life Cares champion onsite specialists to New Zealand’s largest fishing industry.
Shannon Norman, Rob Greer, LeeAnne Bones and Julie McDDowell are our Auckland Stars. Shannon trained at Auckland University of Technology completing a Bachelor of Health Science. She has great experience as a Paramedic and is very popular with our clients.
Rob Greer has been involved in the Health and Physical wellness industry both here in New Zealand and abroad. He comes from a education background and brings a number of years experience to you in educating a wide range of different groups of people in a holistic way of living life.
LeeAnne has a career background in Health and Safety in Pharmacy, Dental and the Airlines. LeeAnne has also worked as a Pharmacy tutor and is passionate about working with people and in a Education role.
Julie McDowell hails from the UK where she trained as a registered nurse and spent much of her working life. Her experience includes working in the police and prison services and in occupational health roles. Julie is a valuable additon to the "A" team.
Louise Angus is a Registered Nurse based in the Manawatu. Her nursing experience lies in the acute and community areas both in NZ and abroad.
Russell Baines is based in Hastings and supports the Hawkes Bay and Gisborne Area. Russell has an extensive experience in the health and disability sector and has a real passion for facilitating learning opportunities that are informative and fun.
Dawn Bailey and Jacque Chaplin are our Wellington based Consultants. Dawn has extensive knowledge in public health, Jacque has 10 years experience in CPR training. Collectively they bring a wealth of knowledge to our Wellington based clients.
Valerie Reid & Jess van Slooten are our southern staff.
Valerie has over seven years experience as an Industrial Height Safety and Industrial Height Rescue, Confined Space & Atmospheric Testing Trainer. She co-developed unique industrial height rescue systems & rescue safety procedures which were adopted by the Rio Tinto Group worldwide. Valerie is a Dive Medic, a member of Civil Defence and previously served as a volunteer Foreign Aid Worker for Global Works in the Pacific.
Jess has a Health Science Degree, with an emphasis on first aid, and paramedic studies. For many years she volunteered for St Johns both onboard the ambulance and at events. With a particular interest in boating she has medic and first aid trainer experience with Coastguard NZ in both the Northern and Southern regions. She has since gone on to receive her offshore and commercial yachting medic qualifications and prior to joining Life Care spent the last 2 years in skipper roles on yachts in the Mediterranean.
Our Account Management team:
Sharon Smith looks after our growing Auckland client base. With a background in account management and client service, Sharon is passionate about providing tailored solutions to our clients that help make their businesses run smoothly. Sharon is excited about representing a company that can help save lives in the workplace. Her own interest in health and fitness has lead to a long association with a leading fitness provider and she has completed several half marathons.
Katie Taylor is our Account manger for the Wellington Wairarapa area. Katie has had 11 years in the health and safety industry and is excited to be now working for Life Care Consultants an organisation who can deliver customised solutions and enhance productivity in workplaces. She is passionate about her customers and working with them in partnership she also aims to exceed their expectations in all areas of the business. She also enjoys walking in her spare time and catching up with friends.
Joanne Aliprantis is our Account Manager for the central North Island and has had vast experience working with leading brands in the pharmacy and airline industries with the primary focus on exceeding customer expectations. Representing Life Care Consultants, Joanne is excited about being able to tailor a solution to her client's needs that provides them with a customised training course. Joanne has a keen interest in health and wellbeing and enjoys running and horse riding in her spare time.
Amanda McClelland takes care of our South Island Customers from her base in Christchurch. It's been a challenging year for Canterbury but Amanda is available to discuss your First Aid Training and Health Assessment requirements.
We believe in providing excellent customer service to all of our clients. To ensure this happens, we have an awesome administration team - the cheerful voices on the end of the phone belong to Debbie Antoniadis, our Administration Manager and Sarah Savage, Jaimee McGrail, Nicola Hunt, Kim Lawrence, Vanessa Young, Gaynor Morgan, Lisa Bevan and Brooke Thorburn. This small, personalised team pride themselves on efficiency, reliability, and organisation, ensuring the provision of an effective, industry-specific First Aid service.
