Life Care Consultants Win Excellence in Service 2009

Life Care Consultants had the sweet taste of success and recognition at the Waikato Business Awards 2009, taking home the award for Excellence in Service.

This award acknowledges Life Care’s commitment and objective to providing their clients with the best service possible.

Life Care was also one of only three Finalists in the Supreme Award- Waikato Business of the Year 2009.

Janet Brothers, the Managing Director was a Finalist in the Leader of the Year category, and Life Care featured again as a Finalist in the Workplace Safety Award.

This acknowledgement in the Waikato Business world is a credit to the Life Care Consultants team and the loyalty they show to Life Care and their clients. The evening took place at Mystery Creek and featured many prominent and developing Waikato businesses, Life Care felt very humbled to be distinguished at this prestigious event.


Tailored Advanced First Aid course

Life Care can offer a one day Adavnced Course - for the first aiders where they may need to care for someone for an extended period of time before the ambulance arrives and the three day PHEC course is too much downtime. Life Care will tailor the course to address the risks the staff may encounter. Find out more here

New Course Available - Pre-Hospital Emergency Care (PHEC)

Pre-Hospital Emergency Care (PHEC) This course offers people who have already completed their Workplace First Aid Course (US 6400, 6401, 6402) some advanced knowledge and skills in pre-hospital emergency care. The PHEC Course has been designed to meet the knowledge requirements of the NZRC Level 3 Rescuer.  Find out more here


New Course Available - ACLS Level 4 and Level 5

Life Care Consultants is offering ACLS Level 4 and Level 5 to health professionals. A calendar of courses in specific areas is provided, additionally courses can be delivered to a specific group where the minimum numbers stated are available.

Venues will be in local conference/training facilities or GP Practice rooms.

All courses are by bookings only and venues will be advised when numbers are confirmed. Life Care Consultants has also received approval to deliver the ACLS Level 5 course on a 1-1 basis.

Practice Administration staff are able to attend refresher courses on the same dates but times may vary depending on numbers. Please contact us to arrange these courses.

The Level 5 ACLS course has been endorsed from the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners for 4 hours. The course also meets the compulsory resuscitation skills of the RNZGP MOPS and GPEP 2 requirements for General Practitioners to obtain a certificate of competency in resuscitation skills to Level 5 of the New Zealand Resuscitation Council standards. Resuscitation for Health Professionals Level 5

This course meets the ongoing education requirements for all GPs and the requirements of the ACC rural General Practice agreement for GP's and nurses.

  • Length: 4 hours
  • Location: Community venue or surgery on negotiation.
  • Numbers: Minimum of 4 people, maximum of 8   Find out more here

Resuscitation for Health Professionals Level 4

This course is based on the ACLS Level 5 course and covers compulsory skills and knowledge for Registered nurses including the IMAC requirements for immunisation. This course has also been approved by the Midwifery Council of New Zealand as meeting adult resuscitation requirements for Midwives. It is also suitable for Dentists and Pharmacists.

  • Length: 4 hours
  • Location: Community venue or surgery based on negotiation.
  • Numbers: Minimum of 6 people, maximum of 10   Find out more here
